Brazilian Percussion in Newcastle

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We have changed the day/time and location for our percussion class/rehearsal. See below.

Every Tuesday 6.45pm-8.45pm.
First and second Tuesday of the month: The Studio newcastle, Cooper St, Newcastle West.
Third, fourth and fifth Tuesday of the month: Octapod, TPI building, Level one, 3/231 King St, Newcastle (Entry on Auckland St, opposite Civic Park)

Class description
Discover the extensive range of Brazilian percussion instruments that makes a "bateria". This class is a hands-on class/rehearsall and is open to novice or experienced drummers who want to play Brazilian rhythms such as Batucada, Samba Reggae - Olodum, Maracatu, Frevo and much more. Arrive 5mn before start.

What to wear & what to bring
Any comfortable clothing allowing you free range of motion.
Bring your drum or use one of ours.
Bring ear plugs if you have any. It can get loud.

Class rates 2009:
Option 1: Prepaid - 10 consecutive classes for $45 (no refund for missed classes)
Option 2: Casual - $8.00 - cash only. No booking required for casual classes.
