Brazilian Percussion in Newcastle

Every Wednesday 7.45pm-9.30pm
at PAN (Performing Arts Newcastle), 5 Auckland St (between Hunter and King St, 5 minutes walk from Civic train station).
Note: There will be no class on 01 and 08 July 2009.

Class description
Discover the extensive range of Brazilian percussion instruments that makes a "bateria". This class is a hands-on class/rehearsall and is open to novice or experienced drummers who want to play Brazilian rhythms such as Batucada, Samba Reggae - Olodum, Timbalada, Frevo and much more. Bring your own instrument or use one of ours.
Classes are casual. No need to book. Show up 5mn before start.

What to wear & what to bring
Any comfortable clothing allowing you free range of motion. Bring your drum or use one of ours.

Class rates 2009:
Option 1: Prepaid - 10 consecutive classes for $45 (no refund for missed classes)
Option 2: Casual - $8.00 - cash only. No booking required for casual classes.

Private class: For one person $35 for 45mn. If you are interested in taking private dance lessons or want to arrange a workshop for a special event such as a hen's party, festival, or corporate event, contact us to discuss your needs.
