Sergio Mendes - Brasileiro
A classic of Brazilian music. Most of the songs were actually writen by Carlinhos Brown. On track one the tune called "Fanfara" is known to everyone and has been widely used in techno mixes. This album has an excellent mix of sounds and styles probably because hundreds of performers actually worked in its making. |

Dudu Tucci - Obatimale
I use this one for warm up most of the time. Dudu Tucci is a great Brazilian percussionist who now lives in Germany. This CD has many different rhythms such as Ijexa, Samba de roda, Samba reggae, Maracatu and a much more. Basically every track is different. It is a great album and more... an encyclopedia of styles. |
